Celtic

Welcome to the Family

Home to Utah's newest and nationally acclaimed bespoke championship academy. We specialize in building professional and competitively successful dancers in Irish dance traditions and contemporary Celtic arts.

The academy features competitive soloists that are State Champions, have placed top 5 Regionally, top 10 Nationally, earned seven World-Qualifying medals, and Regional 1st Place Champions in Ceili Teams. We are thrilled to be sending the youngest qualified dancers of Utah to both the 2022 World Championships in Belfast, Ireland, and the 2022 North American Championships in Montreal, Canada.

Additionally, our students enjoy learning a wide array of performing skills and have had performance opportunities with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance alumni, the Utah NBA Jazz Halftime Show, the Tabernacle Choir, the Utah Pipe Band, Celtic Woman, Mairead Nesbitt Celtic Violinist, Molly's Revenge, Cross Strung, An Rogaire Dubh, the Thomas Cordner Memorial Pipe Band, UVU the Noorda Center, and many others. We enjoy supporting our local cultural events, including the Hibernian Society of Utah's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Siamsa in Salt Lake City, the Utah Scottish Festivals in Salt Lake City, and Payson, as well as seasonal fair's, social, religious, and corporate events.

We value each student in their journey as a performer as we maximize each dancer's potential. Our teaching methods are unique to your child and their ambitions and pace of learning. Above all, we invest in a place of joy and dancing for those passionate about expressing their heart, mind, and spirit through rhythms and exquisite movement. We are all connected here, the young and old, aspiring and experienced, beginners and champions. Join the Celtic lifestyle in a healthy and supportive environment where your child's development and success are the #1 priority.

Smith Irish Dance is a certified An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha of Dublin academy and is registered through the Irish Dance Teacher's Association of North America, Western US Region, and National Folk Organization.
